Hallucination Before Christmas 2012 Is Almost Here!

It’s that time of year again!  In less than 24 hours, Central Florida’s EDM community shall be granted with the one and only “Ho-Ho-Ho Down” of the year, to be held at Czar Nightclub in Ybor City:  Hallucination Before Christmas!  This annual fest has a rich history that began in the mid-1990s, and has consistently outdone itself each and every year since.  You find yourself wondering “how will they ever top this next time?”  And yet, the almighty Monk and tireless Hallucination crew will successfully pull out all of the stops for a jingly jam like none other before it.

HBC is known for many talented returning acts like Tommie Sunshine, Monk, Nick James, and so many more — but there are always a sled-ful of great surprises in store as well.  Certainly, the return of David Christophere (aka T. Confucious of Rabbit in the Moon) is one of these highlights.  Then you have the first-ever live performance of “1931“, a collaboration founded by Scott Weiser (Jackal, of the infamous electro duo Jackal & Hyde) and Berkeley (V2 Labs & Hallucination on Film) that features Viola LaLa Mia performing vocal duties.  Described as “an amalgamation of electronic retro synths, modern slamming beats and indy laden vocals“, we are definitely intrigued and anticipating the arrival of the 1931 coalition.

HBC is also known for its killer production: movie set-like giant props that reinforce the theme, insane light/laser rigs, projection-mapping, and some of the craziest visuals you’ve ever seen.  Each year, we look to see what new production trend the Hallucination team will start that many clubs and promoters attempt to mimic throughout the following year.  Believe this, you will want to be present to witness this proverbial bar get set high.

There’s still time to get on board and party with the best.  Pre-sale tickets are a modest $15, but don’t forget to bring (3) cans of food to support the charitable food drive Feeding America, or “you will be punished with a higher cover”.  Last year, HBC raised enough food to feed 1,350 meals for families in need!  Also, if you don’t buy your ticket early, or show up at the door after 11pm, the cover goes up.

One more thing:  Four4ths will be there with the cameras taking photos and video, so be on the lookout for the ((=_+)) logo to make certain you end up in the pic galleries and video montage that we will be posting to memorialize this extraordinary experience!

12.22.12 :: “Leaders of the True School” Stanton Warriors, DJ Icey & more @ Firestone, Orlando

Leaders Of The True School

Future Sound of Breaks (FSOB), Vizion 1, DogEatDog Records, Alliance and Firestone Live

Mirror Man in the Crowd

EDC Orlando 2012 was nothing short of amazing.  Kable had the privilege of working with the Mirror Man for both days, and recorded 6GB of HD video witnessing his interactions with the attendees of this beloved Central FL music festival.  Mirror Man is a crowd favorite, shining multi-directional imagination and love to anyone he comes in view of, and is a crucial part of the entire EDC experience and atmosphere (the above screen shot taken from the raw video footage underscores this).  Check back here in the next few days and you might see yourself on the edited video that Kable posts.  ((=_+))

Space Coast Earth Dance 2012

Earth Dance is an annual “Global Festival for Peace” which is held at many locations around the world that all align at one given moment for a worldwide moment of prayer for peace.  Moon Mushroom has aligned with the same people that brought you the Space Coast Love Festival back in July, and even secured the same venue (Loughman Lake Lodge) to hold the Space Coast rendition of Earth Dance 2012.  The event is being on September 22-23 (Sat.Sun), but just like the Love Fest, there is a VIP Pre-party option to join the fun early on Friday.  3 Stages, free body painting, fire poi, hooping, live art, and more than a bucket-load of local DJs spinning their latest crowd-pleasers.  >> Facebook Event page

Space Coast Love Festival 2012

Moon Mushroom and SCEG (Space Coast Entertainment Group) have put together a fine outdoor electronic dance music festival, featuring:  3 stages, 77 DJs, equating to 40+ hours of continuous music.  The first Space Coast LOVE Festival is to be held at the Loughman Lake Lodge – 1955 Hatbill Road, Mims, Florida.  The official event is on July 14 & 15, however, one can purchase early admission and join the VIP Pre-party Friday at 6pm (which allows one to also arrive early to choose a camp site – first come, first squatter’s rights).  Check out the Facebook Event page for more info.
